Aluminum is much lighter in weight than timber or glass fiber, the two other materials from which ladders are ordinarily made. Glass fiber, for instance, is very thick. This thickness makes it quite heavy also. Timber ladders are heavier than aluminum one and, as previously mentioned, shouldn't be stored outdoors.
In fact, an aluminum tower ladder usually is more affordable than either a timber or glass fiber one.
